Flávia Alessandra Martins da Costa (Rio de Janeiro, June 7, 1974) is a Brazilian actress and lawyer of Portuguese descent. Famous for her characters Sônia, in História de Amor, Dorothy, in A Indomada, Lívia, in three soap operas: Meu Bem Querer, Porto dos Milagres and O Beijo do Vampiro, the obsessive villain Cristina, from Alma Gêmea, a character in which was highly awarded, the comical van Vanessa in Pé na Jaca, the sensual pole dancer Alzira, in Duas Caras, the romantic Dafne, from Caras & Bocas, the robot Naomi, in Morde & Assopra, Erica in Salve Jorge, the villain Sandra in Êta Mundo Bom! and Helena in Salve-se Quem Puder. Flávia was married from 1992 to 2002 with director Marcos Paulo, with whom she had her first daughter, Giúlia Martins Simões, born on February 25, 2000. On October 14, 2006, she married actor Otaviano Costa. From this union, she had her second daughter, Olívia Martins da Costa, born on October 5, 2010. Her two daughters were born by cesarean section, in Rio de Janeiro .
