He is an Egyptian director and scriptwriter. He received a bachelor's degree in film directing from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1967. His ambition in childhood was not to be a film director but he wanted to be a journalist. He started working as an assistant director in some films, Who lost his shadow) to Kamal Sheikh, and (illusions of love) to Mamdouh Shukri.
