Yelyzaveta Toptyhina (she/her) is a Ukrainian director, screenwriter and visual artist. She was born in Odesa region, based in Kyiv. Yelyzaveta graduated from the directing department at the Kyiv National Karpenko-Kary University of Theater, Cinema and Television. As a director, she works on fiction films, music videos, commercials and documentary projects. Her work explores emotional connections between characters, infused with warm irony in both storytelling and imagery. Curfew (2025), her short film, was selected at the 31st Sarajevo FF. The film won the Audience Choice Award in the National Competition at the 16th Wiz-Art LIFF and was nominated for the European Short Film Audience Award (ESFAA). Curfew was also nominated for the Ukrainian National Critics Award “Kinokolo” in two categories: Best Short Fiction Film and Best Screenplay. Yelyzaveta was selected for the 2026 edition of Sarajevo Talents.
