M Roberts was a transgender video editor, sound designer, and film programmer from Long Beach, CA. A graduate of CSULB in film studies, she is best known for her award-winning short film STRAIGHT SHOOTER (2021) and her prolific work as a freelancer ranging from music videos to flash animation. She served as the programmer at the Art Theatre of Long Beach from 2022 to 2023, where she began the still-running 'Art After Dark' screening series. Amongst her favorite films were Naked Lunch, Eraserhead, Koyaanisqatsi, and Speed Racer.
