Saxon Gage Mitchell

Saxon Gage Mitchell (May 3, 2002) is a South Australian experimental director. As of 2026, he spent a majority of time between London/Brighton, United Kingdom and Paris, France. His early work gained attention on the festival circuit, earning an Official Selection for his project Lust at the Serbest International Film Festival (SIFF) in Kishinev (2022), as well as being featured in the First Time Filmmaker Sessions at Pinewood Studios in 2021. His current 2026 film slate—including titles like Orion, Imperfection, and Wild Blackberries—point toward a deeply atmospheric, contemplative, and artistic short-form of storytelling. He relies on tone, environmental lighting, and visual poetry over traditional commercial Hollywood narrative structures to evoke emotion. In a private interview in 2026, Saxon openly states other's mental health is an important factor in filmmaking. He claims his possible neurodivergence and OCD help him write a majority of his work.
