Benart Laze is a filmmaker from Tirana, Albania, with over 15 years of experience in cinema, television, and commercial production. A graduate of the Academy of Arts in Tirana (2010), he began his career on set as an assistant director for both local and international productions. His directorial debut, the short film Atila (2017), earned recognition at festivals in Albania and abroad. In 2020, his short Discofuneral won Best Short Film in Albania at the Tirana International Film Festival. He was part of Talent Sarajevo 2022 and the Torino Film Lab Next/Extended 2022. Benart is known for telling human-centered stories with a clear and engaging visual style.
