Yuliia Hontaruk was born on March 6th, 1987. She graduated Thermal Energy and Process Engineering from National Technical University of Ukraine - Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 2009. She studied film directing at The National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television of Karpenko-Kary between 2007 and 2012 (Myhailo Pavlov Workshops/Led by Myhailo Pavlov). Since 2013 she is a member of The National Union of Cinematographers in Ukraine. With a beginning of The Euromaidan Yuliia became one of the formers of creative association Babylon’13. Now she makes a new full-length documentary related to the War in Eastern Ukrainе.
