Mafalda Rebelo (b. 1983, Porto, Portugal) is a Portuguese producer and director working across fiction, documentary and television. Throughout her career she has produced films by internationally acclaimed filmmakers such as Sergey Loznitsa, Thom Andersen, Yann Gonzalez, Lois Patiño, Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, Rodrigo Areias, David Bonneville and André Guiomar, among others. Her work has been presented at major international festivals including Berlinale, Locarno Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Toronto International Film Festival,Sheffield Doc/Fest, Clermont-Ferrand, Mar del Plata, ZINEBI, Curtas Vila do Conde and Doclisboa. She holds a degree in Sound and Image from the School of Arts of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where she also completed a Master’s degree in 2017. She is the founder of the audiovisual production company Cimbalino Filmes.
