Namrata Shrestha (born June 14, 1985) is a highly acclaimed Nepalese actress and model who has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since her debut in 2008. She quickly rose to fame with her role as Ritu in the romantic comedy Sano Sansar. She followed this success with the hit film Mero Euta Saathi Chha in 2009, establishing herself as a leading talent in Nepali cinema. Known for her dedication to her craft, she has taken on diverse and challenging roles, such as playing a mute woman in Maun and performing her own stunts for the action film Xira, for which she even shaved her head. Her career is marked by several prestigious awards, including the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie Classic (2016). She also received widespread critical acclaim for her role as Narayani in the film Prasad (2018), which earned her multiple "Best Actress" honors at the Dcine Awards and other major ceremonies.
