Alex Mackenzie was a Scottish character actor, born in 1885 in Glasgow. He was a schoolteacher in Clydebank until he was 61, before taking up a new profession in the cinema. He appeared in a number of movies including: Kidnapped (1959), High and Dry (1954) and The Battle of the Sexes (1960). He died in December 1965 in Glasgow.
