Sergio Díaz Ochoa

Mexican filmmaker, director, and screenwriter. His short films have been screened at festivals including the Morelia International Film Festival, the Bali International Short Film Festival, and the RiverRun International Film Festival, among others. He has also worked as a casting director and assistant director on numerous feature films and short films. In 2024–2025, he was awarded the Jóvenes Creadores (Young Creators) grant by Mexico’s National System of Art Creators in the screenwriting category. He is a founding member of Imperio Cine, a Mexico City based Mexican film collective that combines independent film production with casting direction. He is currently developing his first feature film.
