Ján Lacko was a Slovak film director and assistant director, recognized for his contributions to Czechoslovak cinema. He began his career in the film industry in the late 1940s, initially working as an assistant director. Lacko directed several notable films, including Šťastie príde v nedeľu (1959), Skalní v ofsajde (1961), and Odhalenie Alžbety Báthoryčky (1965). His films often explored social themes and human relationships, contributing significantly to the cultural landscape of Slovakia. Lacko passed away in Bratislava in 1991.
