Monja Art was born on January, 8, 1984 in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. She is a writer and director, known for Siebzehn (2017), Forever Not Alone (2013), Juli (2012) and Rot (2009). She studied German literature and philosophy at the University of Vienna and wrote her dissertation on the Austrian writer Meta Merz. She graduated from the Vienna Film Academy with a degree in Screenwriting and Dramaturgy.
