Aloysius Paulus Maria (Louis) van Gaal (Amsterdam, August 8, 1951) is a Dutch football manager, current advisor to Ajax, and former footballer. He managed Ajax, FC Barcelona, AZ, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United. The 2014 FIFA World Cup was his first major tournament as head coach of the Dutch national team. With twenty titles won, Van Gaal is one of the most successful club managers of all time.
