Jody Maxwell was born Jody Marie Hogsett in 1946. Jody began her career in erotica, after being discovered at a University of Missouri morality symposium, shortly before graduation, by one of the speakers, Gerard Damiano. Damiano directed her in her first film, Portrait, in 1974, and he cast her in several of his other movies into the early 80s. Jody eventually became a writer and columnist for national men’s magazines, having been on the staff of Cheri, Escapade, Capers, Partner, and Adult Cinema Review. Maxwell died of cancer in 2017.
