Shadow of the Ruhr 1948

A documentary looking at the role played by the coalfields in the Ruhr valley in assisting industry and the militarisation of Germany during both World Wars. It also discusses the approach taken by the Allies in regard to their reconstruction after the damage caused to the dams during the Second World War.
