Nanny and Cuirassier 1897

Directed by Louis Lumière

A cuirassier is courting a nanny; he has placed his helmet beside him. The baby, amused, puts the helmet on its head and leaves its cap in its place. Seeing an officer approach, the cuirassier quickly straightens his helmet, and, in his haste, puts the child’s cap on his head. It is in this ridiculous posture that he salutes the officer.
