Romeo's Lost Monologue 2024

Directed by Rhianna Spooner

Dramatization of a long lost monologue in Mantua, from the novella Romeo e Giulietta by Matteo Bandello. Romeo and Juliet is one of the most popular plays in history – but although its scene is laid in fair Verona, its origins in Italian literature are often obscured. In 2026 Michael Curtotti was appointed Cavalieri dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Knights of the Order of the Star of Italy) for the translation.
