Gusting Pusa

Directed by Chito B. Tapawan

Starring action star Rudy Fernandez, Gusting Pusa is a fast-paced 1978 Philippine action-adventure film. The story revolves around a gritty, street-smart protagonist named Gusting—nicknamed "Pusa" (Cat) due to his agility and sharp survival instincts. Armed with a mystical anting-anting (amulet) that allegedly grants him special powers or extreme luck, Gusting navigates a dangerous underworld, clashing with relentless syndicates led by crooked characters. The film heavily showcases intense hand-to-hand combat, classic late-70s shootouts, and urban survival themes typical of the era's Pinoy action cinema.
