My Sister, My Agent

Directed by Gilles Simonet

Amadou Onana moves from Dakar to Brussels at the age of 12 to live with his sister Mélissa, eleven years his senior. She spots his football talent, films his training sessions and sends the videos to clubs all over Europe. When Hoffenheim invites him, his career takes off. Seriously ill, Mélissa quits her job and becomes his agent. Today she runs an agency with 25 players, most of them from Africa. Filmmaker Gilles Simonet goes back in time with her to find out how she and Amadou got where they are.
