The Gathering of Heroes: Borrowing the East Wind 2021

Directed by Chongjie Ma

During the final years of the Eastern Han dynasty, rival warlords struggle for supremacy. As Cao Cao leads his vast army south, his forces confront the Kingdom of Wu at the Red Cliffs along the Yangtze River. Sun Quan and Liu Bei form an alliance against him, while strategists Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang devise ingenious schemes, including the theft of military documents, borrowing arrows with straw boats, a feigned surrender, and harnessing the east wind to set enemy warships ablaze. Their remarkable strategies secure a legendary victory, immortalized in Chinese history.
