We Arrived Here

Inside Little Portugal, a London community holds on to heritage while questioning what it means to belong - here and there.

Directed by Clara Da Piedade

Set in the vibrant heart of South London’s Little Portugal, this documentary explores the lives of Portuguese immigrants across generations, from those who arrived decades ago to the young people born and raised in the UK. Through intimate interviews and everyday observations in local cafés, pastelarias, and community spaces, we uncover what it means to belong to a country you left behind, or never lived in, while forging identity in a new one.
