Maiden Home

When family means only function

Directed by Kirin Sinn

Yuli came to Korea as a mail-order bride. For ten years her husband Jongsoo kept her passport, her body, and her silence. When Jongsoo finally takes the family to her village in rural Indonesia, the balance quietly begins to tilt. As a ritual takes hold of his own children and the jungle closes in around him, he discovers he was never a guest in this house.
