Kusi Kushkani 2017

Directed by Fernando Luis Mendoza Salazar

*Kusi Kushkani* is the journey undertaken by a family to help Martina—a Quechua-speaking Peruvian woman of Andean origin—obtain her national ID card for the first time at the age of 71. The story also offers a glimpse into the lives of Andean migrants in the city, the indifference of bureaucracy, and the hardships faced by undocumented individuals in modern society.
