A visual essay on Saúl Cantoral Huamaní, General Secretary of the Miners' Federation, who led the two general strikes over the national miners' demands that brought the industry to a standstill for nearly three months between July and December 1988, and who was assassinated by the paramilitary group "Comando Rodrigo Franco" on February 13, 1989, shortly before the start of a third strike.
