Next Stop: Rio's Suburbs

Directed by Vini Romadel

Between Oswaldo Cruz and Marechal Hermes, Vera Caju and Julia Dutra journey through the beating heart of Rio’s suburbs. In kitchens, along train tracks, at dance halls and across encounters between generations, flavors, music, bodies, and memory converge, revealing the North Zone as a living landscape of Blackness, ancestry, identity, and belonging.
