Sound That Summons 2026
Directed by Petra Leslie
Some people have always heard the world a little louder than everyone else. Pablo returns to San Martín de los Andes after years away. The mountains are still there. So is the noise. Hypersensitive to sound, he moves through his hometown with a small recorder, building an aural cartography of a place that no longer feels like his own. Whispering what he sees, what he feels, attempting to hold the world at a distance he can survive. But home has changed. Or he has. When an unexpected moment of stillness finds him, what arrives is not comfort, but something closer to grace. Created in 10-days as a selected fellow of Paolo Sorrentino's PlayLab 2025 in Patagonia, Argentina, the power of this film is a quiet and physical reminder to all that stillness still exists if you only stop to listen for it.
