The story of a little dreamer for whom the world around him is a fairy tale, where every object and every thing has a soul. However, only those who are naturally magical and creative can see and understand this. The boy's father, who has returned from the war, explains to his son that it is his imagination that has filled the yard with "secret inhabitants." The film explores the creative role of human labor. If something is created with dedication, it carries the soul of its creator.
