As the two grow closer, they navigate their differences in upbringing and priorities. Alexander's focus on the game of chess and Roxie's desire for more life experiences threaten to pull them apart. As Alexander prepares for a tournament, his relationships with both the game and Roxie come to a head, forcing him to make a decision about his future.
